Collection and Use of Information

When you register to become a member of youbloom.com you submit information such as name, email address, and age which enables us to send notifications about the youbloom service and authenticate the user. You may choose to submit additional information and content including but not limited to: personal interests, gender, age, education and occupation in order to assist in finding and communicating with other users.

According to the preferences you set in your account, we will display your personal information on your profile in order to facilitate user interaction in the youbloom social networking community. Email addresses are used for the purposes of inviting new friends to join youbloom, to add users to members' friends' networks, and to send notifications related to the service. Users' full names are never directly revealed to other members. To facilitate searching and finding friends and acquaintances on the service, youbloom allows users to search for other members using first and last name, email address, and schools and/or companies where users may have attended or worked.

youbloom may use non-personally-identifiable information including IP address, profile information, aggregate user data, and browser type, from users and visitors to the site. The resulting information is used to manage the website, track usage, improve the website services and better understand and serve our users. This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to Users. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes.

In order to participate in promotions, points accumulation and redemption, sweepstakes, contests, or the Music Awards, Users may be asked, from time to time, to provide personal information including name, email address or home address or to answer questions. Also, should you explicitly request information from our ad partners, such request may also authorize the release of your personal information to such partners. It will be clear at the point of collection who is collecting the personal information and whose privacy statement will apply.

Children

youbloom contains links to other sites. youbloom is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site a user should read the privacy policy stated on that site. Our privacy policy only governs information collected on youbloom.

Communications and Invitations to Non-members

youbloom members can invite friends to join the service by sending invitation emails via our automated invitation system. youbloom stores the email addresses that members provide so that the respondents may be added to the friend's list of the member sending the invitations, and also to send reminders of the invitations youbloom does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations, invitation reminders (up to three (3) per email address). Recipients of invitations from youbloom may contact youbloom to request the removal of their information from our database.

youbloom members may also store email addresses of people they know in their internal youbloom address book and may also choose to send invitations and other communications to those addresses. You may prevent youbloom email invitations and other messages from being sent to any email address you control by sending a single email with the subject "BLOCK" to privacy@youbloom.com. Please note that the email must come from the account you wish to block.

Use of Cookies

Cookies are a standard Internet technology and web sites use them to provide useful features to their members. Profile Change/Review/Cancellation of Membership

You may update, modify, or remove your personal profile information and to whom you may grant access at any time by logging into your account and accessing features such as Edit profile and Account Info. You always have the option to cancel your membership at any time. Furthermore, youbloom reserves the right to delete a User's account that has been inactive for a period of 6 months.

Email Choice/Opt-out

You may update or correct your email preferences at any time and you can limit who can view certain personal information, such as email addresses and phone numbers. You can choose to make your profile visible to non-members of youbloom by editing your profile and opting in to "accessible profile".

Security

To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable precautions, such as requesting a unique member-created password, to verify your identity before granting you profile access or making corrections and to insure that member account information is kept private. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information at all times.

We use commercially reasonable physical, managerial and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to youbloom and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission of information, youbloom makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of our systems. Moreover, We restrict access to member information to those employees needing access to perform their job functions, such as our customer service personnel and technical staff.
